The Story : From Challenge to Solution

Back in 2015-16, working as a financial and tax consultant for small businesses, I faced a unique challenge at my work. Gathering accounting data from clients was a very cumbersome process for me and my team. Visiting each client's site to collect their data was inefficient and time-consuming. Additionally, traditional desktop accounting software like Tally was too complex for many business owners, often leading to incomplete & incorrect records and pushing them back to the reliance on manual paper-based bookkeeping.
I explored international cloud based solutions like QuickBooks and Xero, but they were not customized to meet the unique needs of Nepali businesses. These platforms didn't support the Nepali calendar or the Nepali fiscal year and Nepal tax laws which made them impractical for local use.

As they say: Scratch your own itch, my team and I developed a Google-Sheet-based accounting module for internal use, streamlining my own practice. The Turning point came, when one of my clients offered to pay for my spreadsheet-based accounting module. That moment sparked the realization that there was a real need for an accounting solution tailored to Nepali businesses. Then I said to myself, who better to build it than me?

Today, Oneflow helps 1,000+ Nepali businesses manage their finances and taxes with ease, offering real-time insights and simplifying the accounting process. It's the solution I always envisioned—one that addresses the unique needs of local businesses and transforms how they handle their finances.
